Group of around 30 Newfoundlanders from Come By Chance refinery reportedly win $60M lotto jackpot
Members of winning group told not to speak to media until ticket verified
A group of co-workers on the Avalon Peninsula are a heck of a lot richer this morning.
Atlantic Lottery Corporation says a ticket sold somewhere in Newfoundland and Labrador for the Feb. 23 Lotto MAX draw is worth a lot of money: $60,000,000.
The corporation hasn't confirmed who the winners are yet but sources to CBC say it's a group of about 30 people from the Come By Chance refinery.
Imagine checking your lottery tickets and seeing this. One of the (unconfirmed) winners tells me the group of about 30 will each get $1.9 million. (Ticket says Retailer Cannot Pay Prize. They must have just changed over the cash.) @CBCNL pic.twitter.com/x5LoxCKhzM

That means each lucky colleague will get about $1.9 million.
The winners have been asked not to speak to the media until the ticket has been verified.
