CBC Montreal's Christmas Sing-In charity drive is in full swing.

For the second year in a row, CBC Montreal is raising money and non-perishable items for the NDG Food Depot.

On Wednesday, students from St. Monica Elementary School in NDG did their part to help, filling our CBC van with cans of food, bags of pasta and other goods.

CBC Montreal News anchor Debra Arbec will be visiting several Montreal schools in the next two weeks to collect more goods.

The NDG Food Depot is a food bank distributes food to thousands of families in NDG, Westmount and Montreal West. Volunteers also teach people how to cook healthy meals.

CBC Montreal's annual Christmas Sing-In will take place Sunday, Dec. 13, at the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul (Sherbrooke Street West at the corner of Redpath Street) at 3 p.m. and at Bourgie Hall at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (Sherbrooke Street West, corner of du Musée Avenue).

Doors open at 2 p.m. and admission is free.
