Winnipeg's shiny new comedy festival will bring in Kid in the Hall Scott Thompson, The Late Late Show's Eliza Skinner, returning comic Ron Lynch and Toronto's Chris Locke.

The Oddblock Comedy Festival is heading into its third year with 30 shows across six South Osborne venues.

Festival organizers revealed part of their lineup Wednesday, with a mix of returning comics, hometown heroes and new names.

Also on the list were Shane Mauss, Dulce Sloan, Pat Thornton, Sarah Hennessey, Sophie Buddle, Chris Robinson and John B. Duff.

The four-day festival is primarily based at The Park Theatre but has comics perform everywhere from pizza places to bowling halls.

In previous years, the festival has booked big names like Eddie Pepitone, Rhea Butcher, Chris Cubas, Todd Glass, Kate Berlant and Martha Kelly.

The festival runs Aug. 24 to 27.
