The Winnipeg Blue Bombers unveiled a new special edition jersey on Tuesday – and it was a little bit blue and a little bit 'aquaflage'.

The new “signature” jerseys are mainly dark blue with a bit of blue, white and baby blue aqua-camouflage on the shoulders and collar.

The jerseys are paired with aquaflage helmets, which were revealed on Monday to largely negative reviews fans.

Quarterback Drew Willy said he hasn’t been paying too much attention to the criticism but thinks the jerseys and helmets pair well.

"I didn't hear much about it, but I think, you know, when you put the helmet together kind of with the shoulder pad look, it kind of brings it all together," said Willy.

The Bombers are selling the jerseys to fans and will be wearing them in their Friday game against the Montreal Alouettes.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders unveiled their own signature gear on Aug. 8 with mixed reviews.
