One Direction fans camped out outside Winnipeg's Fairmont hotel Thursday night, hoping to catch a glimpse of the band members as they arrive in the city for their Friday night concert.

Jayden Amos and Sierra Courchane were both waiting outside the hotel Thursday, even as a storm brewed over the city.

"Harry [is my favourite] because of his hair," said Amos. "He's so perfect. I don't know. He's just so perfect, and I love him so much."

Courchane, meanwhile, was hoping to catch a glimpse of Niall.

"I don't know why. He's just gorgeous," she said.

One Direction takes over Investor's Group Field at 7 p.m. on Friday.
