About a dozen people are braving an autumn chill to camp out in a downtown Winnipeg park, continuing this weekend's Occupy Wall Street protests.

A small number of tents have been based at Memorial Park since Saturday, when about 400 people marched through downtown to protest corporate greed and financial inequality.

One of the protesters who set up camp, Jordan Roy, said he and others spent Saturday night and Sunday morning talking about ways to solve social injustices.

"All these issues that we're dealing with are issues that we can't solve and we don't know how to solve yet," he said Sunday.

"So in order to solve these, we need to come together and figure out what can be done, what needs to be done."

The camping protesters were met with windy conditions and temperatures ranging from 2 C to 11 C on Sunday.

Environment Canada is forecasting more windy conditions Sunday evening, along with a 30 per cent chance of showers and an overnight low of 3 C.

The Occupy Winnipeg protest is being held in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement that has spread from the United States to dozens of countries around the world, including Canada.
