Thelma Krull: Searchers hang posters for missing Winnipeg woman, 8 months on

The search for a Winnipeg woman who mysteriously disappeared last summer is back on today.

Volunteers, family and friends hit the streets Saturday to hang up 2,000 new posters with information about 57-year-old Thelma Krull.

"Everyone knows her smile," Krull's friend Connie Muscat said. "Even though it's the same beautiful welcoming smile, we hope to just catch people's attention again."

Krull went out on a walk on the morning of July 11 and never returned home. She was last seen in the Harbor View area. Her glasses were found a few days later on the ground at Kimberly Hill in the Valley Gardens area.

Searchers met at Tim Hortons on Plessis Road Saturday at 10 a.m. Organizers distributed new posters to the volunteers before the group fanned out to hang them up across the city.

Thelma's husband Robert Krull thanked everyone for coming out Saturday and said he isn't going to stop searching for his wife until she's found.

"We're suffering here and we just want answers," Robert said. "The family needs to grieve.... I haven't given up hope. We haven't given up hope."

Police still have no leads in the case, which has taken a toll on the family, Robert said.

"They really have no more clues that I know of. It's hard. They unfortunately don't tell you everything, so that's where it stands," Robert said.

"Until you've gone through this, you have no idea. And I just hope nobody else has to go through this. I really appreciate the community support."

Krull is described as 5-foot-4 and 170 pounds. She has short, dyed-blond hair with purple streaks.
