Winnipeg police have charged a man with attempted murder in connection with a midday shooting in downtown Winnipeg in November.

Police arrested John William Nault on Thursday night on McGee Street in Winnipeg. A Canada-wide warrant had been issued for his arrest.
At the time of issuing the warrant, police said Nault, 29, was a person of interest in connection to a shooting at a bus shelter near Portage Place Shopping Centre on Nov. 28.
He is now charged with attempted murder in connection to that incident.
A man was shot at a bus stop on Portage Avenue near Edmonton Street. The 29-year-old victim was taken to hospital in critical condition has since recovered and been released from hospital.
