Girl, 11, who went missing from Manitoba Interlake region on weekend has been found

An 11-year-old girl who went missing in Manitoba's Interlake region this weekend has been found and is safe, RCMP say.

Girl had been last seen Saturday in Fairford, with police saying she could be in Winnipeg

An 11-year-old girl who went missing in Manitoba's Interlake region this weekend has been found and is safe, RCMP say.

The girl had last been seen leaving an address in Fairford, about 220 kilometres north of Winnipeg, on Saturday evening, police said in a news release Monday afternoon. 

In an update on Tuesday morning, RCMP said the girl had been located.

No information was provided about when or where she was found.

A previous version of this story included the girl's name and photograph. Those have been removed to protect her privacy now that she is no longer missing.
