Woman killed in north-east London, Ont. home knew her assailant

A woman found dead inside a home in north-east London, Ont. Friday is now the city's second homicide victim this year.

Police received a 9-1-1 call to the home on Billybrook Crescent

A woman found dead inside a home in north-east London, Ont. Friday is now the city's second homicide victim this year.

London Police said the 52-year-old man arrested in her death was known to her and will be charged with second degree murder Saturday. 

The identity of the woman and the accused has not been released. 

Police said they were sent to the home on Billybrook Crescent, near Adelaide Street and Fanshawe Park Road, on Friday at 6:20 p.m after receiving a 9-1-1 call. 

They said the victim was dead when they arrived.

In a statement, police said the accused will remain in custody.
