London man accused of using Snapchat to sexually exploit teen

A 25-year-old London man was arrested Tuesday after police alleged he was using Snapchat to sexually lure a 15-year-old girl.

Police said the victim was told there was a job opportunity, if she provided photos and videos which would then be shared with others for a fee. 

Police claim the exchanges went on for approximately one week after they started in October 2019. 

London police were notified of the incident on Nov. 21 when members of the Internet Child Exploitation Unit arrested the man at a downtown location. 

He is charged with the following offences:

• Production of child pornography
• Unlawful possession of child pornography
• Luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication 
• Three counts of luring a person under 18 years of age by means of telecommunication

The accused is expected to appear in a London court on January 23, 2020.
