Is this Tim Hortons customer taking sanitizing too far?
Video from London, Ont. drive thru has more than 500K views on Twitter
A video of a man taking measures to sanitize his Tim Hortons coffee cup during the COVID-19 pandemic at a London, Ont. drive-thru has gone viral.
The video, which has garnered more than half a million views on Twitter, shows a man repeatedly spraying his Tim Hortons coffee cup with what seems to be hand sanitizer.
"Somebody in another Tim Hortons in Brampton has it," the man says, presumably referring to an employee of the franchise in Brampton who tested positive for COVID-19, as he sprays the cup.
"So I want you to stay away from me, no offence," he added.

The video then shows the man carefully removing the lid from the coffee cup before throwing it back into the empty pick-up window.
Tim Hortons responded to the video in a written statement from Duncan Fulton, chief corporate officer.
"Canadians are known as thoughtful, reasonable and respectful people and now more than ever we ask everyone to demonstrate these values and show respect to those working tirelessly in the midst of the pandemic," it said.
In the statement, Fulton said the company's top priority is to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all staff and guests.
"We're asking Canadians to support each other during this stressful, uncertain moment in our history," Fulton said.
"And we thank all the workers across Canada who are keeping our essential services running."
