CBC Radio's London Morning convened a panel of keen political watchers Wednesday as the provincial election campaign officially kicked off.

Host Julianne Hazlewood was joined by three guests;

  • Jackie Newman, associate professor of political science at King's University College
  • Matt Farrell, professor of inter-disciplinary studies at Fanshawe College
  • Zack Taylor, assistant professor of political science at Western University

Among the observations and prognostications shared — Jackie Newman predicts incumbent candidates in London will be re-elected.

Matt Farrell believes the Liberals will hit hard on Andrew Lawton story as it fits into their narrative for Doug Ford.

Zack Taylor sees a different kind of PC populism emerging as Liberal support in southwestern Ontario continues its downward trend.
