New photos show a white Chevrolet Cruze travelling through an east-end neighbourhood prior to the shooting at Admiral Drive and Trafalgar Street.

It happened Saturday around 4 p.m..

Constable Shayna Boland said the victim, who remains in hospital recovering from serious injuries, did not know the suspect.

"All we can say is that we are investigating exactly why it happened. All we know is that they weren't known to each other," Boland said.

Prior to the shooting, the white Cruze was spotted making erratic moves and travelling extremely fast.

"We're asking for any information from the public in regard to the vehicle or the driver," Boland said.

The Cruze was last seen travelling south on Marconi Boulevard and eventually westbound on Gore Road.
