City recreation programs cancelled for the spring
Memberships to city centres and facilities will be extended
As the City of London continues to zero in on slowing the spread of COVID-19, city officials announced Tuesday that all spring recreational programming has been cancelled.
The same goes for all city-owned sports fields, baseball diamonds, cricket pitches, tennis courts and beach volleyball courts, which will remain closed until May 31.
If you're a member of any of London's community and seniors' centres, pools or Storybook Gardens, the city says it will extend memberships for every day the facility is closed.
Cancellations for room rentals at city-run centres have been pushed back to the end of May, along with the cancellations of all city-run seniors' events and trips.
The city says upcoming availability will be determined based on when COVID-19 restrictions are eased by the province.
If you're looking to have your account refunded, you can submit your request by email.
More about London's recreation programs is available on the city's website.
