1 person dead, 2 injured following rush-hour crash north of London

The collision happened on Richmond Street, north Eight Mile Road, on Wednesday afternoon.

One person is dead, and two others were injured following a crash north of London Wednesday.

Middlesex County OPP, the Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and Middlesex Centre Fire were called to Richmond Street, north of Eight Mile Road, at around 5:37 p.m. after two vehicles collided.

Police said three people were rushed to hospital following the collision and one person later died in hospital.

The identity of the deceased has not been released.

Richmond Street is expected to remain closed between Eight Mile Road and Nine Mile Road for several hours as police continue to investigate.
