"I'm here for you" — that's the message from Guelph Mayor Cam Guthrie to Kitchener Mayor Berry Vrbanovic after the Guelph Storm swept the Kitchener Rangers in the Ontario Hockey League's Western Conference quarter final.

The Storm won Game 4 on Thursday night by a score of 5-1.

Guthrie and Vrbanovic had a friendly wager on the series.

Vrbanovic, having lost, will now have to wear an item of Guelph Storm clothing to a future council meeting and send some local beer to Guthrie.

In a video message tweeted out after the win, Guthrie said, "I'm sorry about your luck. You are going to have to follow through on the bet that we made."

He suggested a number of different items Vrbanovic could wear including multiple hats, a coat, hoodie or a hockey jersey.

Vrbanovic was a good sport in responding to the loss.

"Best wishes in the next round of the playoffs," he wrote.
