Waterloo regional police say Kyle Parthe, 20, is the man who was shot and killed Wednesday evening in Cambridge.

Parthe, who is from Cambridge, was found with serious injuries at a plaza near Franklin Boulevard and Jamieson Parkway in Hespeler at around 7:40 p.m. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

WRPS said investigators are piecing together the circumstances that led to the shooting. Police said so far it appears an altercation broke out among two groups of men who met at the location in two separate cars and Parthe was shot.

Regional police are searching for two suspects that left the area in a dark coloured vehicle.

One suspect is described to have a puffy face with no facial hair and black hair. The second suspect is a man between the ages of 25 and 30 and was wearing glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
