Man dies after shooting at shopping plaza in Cambridge
Police say this is the 15th shooting in Waterloo region so far this year
A man has died after a shooting in Cambridge Wednesday evening.
Waterloo regional police responded the call around 7:40 p.m at a plaza in the area near Franklin Boulevard and Jamieson Parkway.
Investigators believe two groups of males in two separate cars were involved in an altercation at the plaza.
A man was found with serious injuries at the scene. He was taken to hospital, and was later pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified as a 20-year-old Cambridge man, police said.
Police won't release the man's name until next of kin have been notified.
Officers believe the people involved the shooting are known to each other. Police are looking for two male suspects that fled the area in a dark coloured vehicle.
One suspect is described to have a puffy face with no facial hair and black hair. The second suspect is a man between the ages of 25 and 30 and was wearing glasses.
There will be an increased police presence in the area while police continue to investigate, the Waterloo Regional Police Service said in a release.

Police say this is the 15th shooting this year in the Region of Waterloo.
