It's the seventh day that 79-year-old Helen Robertson has been missing from her home in Burlington. Halton Regional Police investigators are following up leads alongside a continuing uniform patrol ground search on Monday.

"We're at a point now where we're relying on the public to provide us sightings for searches in new areas," said Halton Police Staff Sgt. Ron Hansen.

Robertson has Alzheimer's disease. She was last seen at her Millcroft Park Drive home early Tuesday afternoon. Police say they're concerned about her, particularly with the hot temperatures.

She's described as white, 5'2" and 110 pounds, with white collar-length hair, a slim build and glasses. She's possibly wearing a red long-sleeved collared shirt and two different shoes.

She's no longer believed to be wearing the particular shoes police had said to look out for, but said she might be wearing a different pair of mismatched shoes.

Police have called in partners from Hamilton, OPP and Durham to employ searching help with horses, a helicopter and emergency response teams.

"We continue to get tips claiming sightings all through this area, the [Greater Toronto Area] and the Golden Horseshoe," Hansen said.

"It's a significant amount of time that she's been missing," he said. Robertson could be outside of the Halton community by now.

"We're pleading with the public to report any possible sightings to us," he said.
