Hamilton fire rescued an injured male hiker by rope Saturday—the fourth rope rescue this month. 

Hamilton fire responded to the incident at Webster Falls Saturday around 6:42 p.m. 

Crews made a rope rescue on a man who injured his leg while hiking.

Hamilton fire spokesman, Claudio Mostacci told CBC the hiker was approximately 100 ft. down at Webster Falls.

According to Mostacci, the male was taken to hospital with a leg injury. 

This marks the fourth rope rescue in June and sixth this year.

On June 10 a man in his twenties fell to his death at Albion Falls. Two other people in the group had to be rescued by rope that day.
