Man falls to his death at Albion Falls
Police investigating the death of a man in his twenties who died at Albion Falls Saturday
A man in his twenties is dead after falling to his death at Albion Falls Saturday afternoon. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
Hamilton Fire confirmed the fatality occurred around 5:00 p.m. Saturday.
Two other people had to be rescued by Hamilton Fire.
According to Hamilton Fire spokesperson, Dave Forster, their condition was "good" at the time.
Hamilton Police are now in charge of the investigation.
According to Forster, there have been three rope rescues so far this year.
One rescue took place last Saturday when Hamilton Fire performed a rope rescue on a woman at Albion Falls.
2016 saw a spike in rope rescues at Hamilton's waterfalls. Emergency crews performed 25 rope rescues—the largest number in at least seven years.
