Young girl's diagnosis highlights need for donors

A family in St. Albert is desperate to find a bone-marrow match for their five-year-old daughter who was diagnosed this summer with leukemia.

Without a transplant, Halle Popowich has a five to 20 per cent chance of survival.

No family member is a donor match, so that leaves Halle relying on a donation from a stranger. 

As Marion Warnica reports, the case has leukemia and lymphoma advocates calling for more awareness in Alberta.
