Thieves use tractor to make ATM withdrawal in Lamont, Alta.

Alberta's ATM bandits have struck again, this time using a stolen tractor to smash into a Servus Credit Union in Lamont to steal an ATM around 2:30 a.m. Monday, say RCMP.

Alberta's ATM bandits have struck again, this time using a stolen tractor to smash into a Servus Credit Union in Lamont to steal an ATM around 2:30 a.m. Monday, say RCMP.

Police are looking for five suspects, who they say stole the tractor from a nearby business.

Investigators will be going over security footage and are also asking any possible witnesses to come forward.

Lamont is about 60 km northeast of Edmonton.

ATM thefts are a growing problem in rural Alberta, where thieves have used heavy vehicles to smash into banks, gas stations, hotel lobbies and Money Marts before making off with the machines.
