Telus World of Science gets expansion money

Albertans will be able to experience more world-class traveling exhibits following an expansion of gallery space at Edmonton's Telus World of Science.

The City of Edmonton, the province, and the Edmonton Space and Science Foundationtare are contributing $7-million,for a new 16,000 square-foot gallery at the Telus World of Science.

The new space will allow the foundation to bring a wider array of travelling exhibits to the city. The new gallery should be ready mid-September, in time to host its first major exhibit: "Star Wars Identities," opening Oct. 27.

The province will contribute $3 million, with the City of Edmonton providing $3.5 million. The foundation will provide an additional $500,000.
