PCL Construction has been chosen as the company that will build Edmonton's new downtown arena, pending the outcome of contract negotiations.
Negotiations are underway now for the company to manage construction of the $450 million complex. Once a deal is reached, PCL would have to give the city and the Katz Group a maximum guaranteed price for the project.
PCL was chosen from four finalists which included Ellis Don, Stuart Olson Dominion and Ledcor Builders.
The city announced in January that ICON Venue Group would be the project manager for the arena.
City officials are negotiating with 360 Architecture to be the architect on the project.
