Mayor Don Iveson discusses Jim Prentice on monthly call-in
Mayor Don Iveson said he will be meeting with Premier-Designate Jim Prentice some time this week.
Prentice was elected Progressive Conservative leader on the weekend and is expected to be sworn-in as Alberta’s 16th premier early next week.
On his monthly call-in on Edmonton AM Monday, Iveson said he spoke to Prentice last last week about a number of municipal issues last last week.
Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi recently expressed his frustration with how vague the three PC eadership candidates were on issues affecting the province’s two largest cities.
Iveson said that he isn’t as annoyed as his Calgary counterpart. Instead he believes that Prentice has identified the right issues that need more discussion.
