CBC's Eve Savory reports on the mixed feelings stirred by the reinstatement of provincial exams for high school students.

It's been 33 years since the Alberta government decided to reinstate provincial exams for high school students.

The standardized tests had been dropped 10 years earlier, but the decision left some worried that some students were being left behind.

As described by CBC reporter Eve Savory, the 1983 announcement was met with a mix of optimism and hesitation by school staff and students, alike.
