Grande Prairie RCMP seize drugs, more than $400,000 in cash

Two men in Grande Prairie have been charged after a nine-month investigation that netted more than $400,000 in cash and almost a kilogram of cocaine.

RCMP executed search warrants Sunday at two apartments in Grande Prairie.

They also searched two vehicles.

Police seized more than $412,000 in Canadian currency, 915 grams of cocaine, 507 fentanyl pills, 10 ounces of crystal methamphetamine and two ounces of heroin.

A 36-year-old Grande Prairie man has been charged with one count of possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000 and one count of breach of a recognizance.

An arrest warrant was issued for a 35-year-old man who is still at large. The second man has been charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.
