Child left inside vehicle in 30 degree heat

Edmonton Police are investigating after a child was left unattended inside a vehicle in the northeast part of the city.

Police were called just before 7 p.m. when the temperature was still hovering above 30 C.

The child was less than 5 years old. A police spokeswoman said the child was treated at the scene and taken to hospital.

The condition of the child is unknown.
