Leadership race will officially launch Oct. 1 in Lethbridge with debates planned across Alberta.
The next leader of the Alberta Progressive Conservative party wll be elected March 18, 2017 in Calgary, according to a tweet by party president Katherine O'Neill.

The next leader of Alberta's Progressive Conservative party will be chosen through a delegated convention.
Interest in the race heated up over the last number of days after news former federal cabinet minister Jason Kenney is considering a run in a bid to "unite the right" in Alberta.
