The incident began on the Tsuut'ina First Nation on Feb. 18 when a member of the tribe's police force tried to stop a pickup truck that Calgary police believe had been stolen from Chestermere.
The truck sped out of the reserve into Calgary, driving down 37th Street near 130th Avenue S.W. in the wrong lane, before colliding head-on with a car and killing its driver — Keith Arthur Morley, 52.
Morley — who lived in Turner Valley — was driving to work on his first day of being a certified Red Seal carpenter, according to his family in his obituary.
Police arrested two suspects who had fled the scene — a male youth, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, and Janelle Umbherville, 26.
A third suspect, Derek Brian Grouette, 33, is still at large and police issued the Canada-wide warrant on Wednesday.
Investigators believe he has since left the Calgary area.
Grouette is Caucasian, five feet nine inches tall and weighs about 220 pounds.
He has brown eyes, brown hair and possibly a goatee.
He has tattoos on his upper right arm, shoulders and both forearms, as well as pierced ears, police say.
Grouette faces numerous charges including hit and run causing death, dangerous driving causing death, break and enter and several stolen property charges.
