Westin Calgary hosts bring your pets to work day

The downtown hotel invited its employees to bring their furry friends to work on Friday, with the lure of special pampering.

Meet the avid swimmers, hikers and chasers belonging to the hotel staff

Furry four-legged friends joined their owners at work Friday at the Calgary Westin Hotel in Calgary.

All honorary canine employees were offered luxurious pampering, a cushy dog bed for breaks, their own dish and a scarf.

Meet some of the pets who got the full treatment.

Haley's Rocket 

Haley Nicoll's dog, Rocket, loves to hike and is always game for a 10 kilometre-trek.

Blue, an adventurous lab

Sarah Jones's lab retriever Blue once jumped into the locks at the Rideau Canal in Ottawa and had to be pulled out by his legs.

Kimberly and Jax

Kimberly Paton's golden retriever, Jax, swims every evening in the Bow River. He likes to chase ducks but won't go near the geese.

Fiona and Bella 

Meet Bella the sheltie. One of her favourite pastimes is chasing rabbits, squirrels and birds, says her owner Fiona Dobbs.
