A violent serial rapist who preys on women and girls is once again being sought by Calgary police after he allegedly watched a 12-year-old child through her bedroom window while performing a sexual act on Thursday night.
Keegan Spearchief, 34, is also suspected of two other similar incidents targeting the same child within the last month.
It's unclear when the serial rapist was last released from prison.
Thursday's incident took place in the 4600 block of Hubalta Road S.E.
Last night officers identified a Spearchief as a suspect and searched for him. Warrants have now been issued for his arrest.
The sexual predator also goes by Keegan Eagle Child.
He is six feet, five inches tall, weighs about 180 pounds and has long brown hair and brown eyes.
Spearchief has a tattoo on his left shoulder of a throwing star.
He also has a long history of breaching court orders.
Spearchief has been monitored in the past by Calgary Police's High Risk Offender Program (HROP).
History of sexual violence
Spearchief has a 17-year history of sexual violence against women and girls.
In 2003, when Spearchief was 17 years old, he became the first young offender in Canada sentenced as an adult under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
In June of that year, Spearchief sexually assaulted two Calgary women in separate attacks on the same night, one of whom was raped.
Three months later, he raped a 17-year-old girl at knifepoint.
Rape, voyeurism
Spearchief was released from prison in 2008 after serving four years for multiple sex attacks and break and enters.
HROP monitored him under a peace bond that expired in March 2009.
Spearchief was arrested again in July 2009 after a complaint that a man was lurking outside a woman's bedroom in southeast Calgary. He was ultimately convicted of voyeurism for that incident.
He was arrested again in 2010 for a vicious attack on his common-law girlfriend in Calgary and her mother. Spearchief later served almost three years at a northern Alberta prison before being released in 2014.
In 2014, when Spearchief was released from prison, police were so concerned he would re-offend, they issued a public warning.
In 2015, he was arrested on the Blood Reserve after police issued warrants when he failed to appear in court for his sentencing hearing.
Anyone who has information about Spearchief's whereabouts is asked to contact the police non-emergency number at 403-266-1234, or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
