Calgary police say two separate shootings early Friday morning sent three people to hospital.

In the first incident, officers were called to to the 5000 block of Centre Street North just after 4 a.m., where they found one person who had been shot and was suffering from a non-life-threatening injury.

Police say they have people in custody in relation to that incident but are still working to sort out exactly what happened.

Then, in a separate incident around 4:45 a.m., officers responded to another shooting on Rundleville Place N.E.

There, they found two victims also suffering from non-life-threatening injuries and took several more people into custody. That incident, too, is still under investigation.

Police said the two shootings aren't related.
