Suspect description not yet available, say police
The Calgary Police Service says homicide investigators are looking into a suspicious death in the city's southeast, according to a news release.
At approximately 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, police were called to the 2200 block of 42nd Street S.E., in the community of Forest Lawn, for reports that a seriously injured man had been discovered in an alley.
A spokesperson with EMS said paramedics responded to the scene.
EMS confirmed the man to be deceased.
The release said that officers would remain on scene to gather security camera footage and speak to any potential witnesses. Police say a description of the suspect is not yet available.
Police are asking anyone with information on the matter to come forward.
An autopsy will be scheduled for early this week to determine cause of death.
