Tire locks fail to stop thieves in Airdrie from stealing trailer carrying motorbikes, ATV
Similar theft took place in Okotoks last week
Despite being secured with tire locks, thieves in Airdrie, Alta., made off with a trailer containing three motorbikes and an ATV.
The trailer, carrying three Yamaha dirt bikes and a Can-Am ATV Outlander, was parked behind Dash Auto Graphics and Tinting on East Lake Boulevard in Airdrie, just north of Calgary, when it was stolen sometime overnight on Aug. 12.
The trailer was secured with tire locks and was dragged — with the left locks in place — to a nearby rural area, where it was later recovered. The ATV and dirt bikes remain missing.
