Acreage search near Airdrie prompts seizure of guns, drugs and stolen vehicles
3 men arrested and charged with multiple offences
Guns, drugs and stolen vehicles have been seized following a massive search of a rural property near Airdrie on Tuesday.

Calgary police and RCMP — including canine units — scoured the 12-acre property for most of the day. The Calgary Search and Rescue Association was also brought in to help in the search, since it was such a large property.
The house on the acreage has been deemed uninhabitable after an inspection by City of Airdrie officials.
Three people on the property were arrested without incident and several items were seized after the 12 hour search:
- 2001 VW Jetta
- 2006 Honda TRX350 quad
- 2004 Honda CRF50 dirt bike
- 1999 Pace American cargo trailer
- Chevy Silverado
- Suzuki GSX FSA13 motorcycle
- Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle
- Honda CRF 250 dirt bike
- stolen licence plates
The following drugs and weapons were also seized:
- .22-calibre rifle with homemade suppressor
- More than 100 rounds of various ammunition
- Marijuana worth $2,680
- Heroin worth $575
- Crystal meth worth $240
- Two pellet gun.
- Collapsible baton
- Bear spray
Police say it's believed the property was used to store stolen items from Calgary and surrounding areas. They hope to return the stolen property to the rightful owners if possible.
Multiple charges have been laid against a 26-year-old Airdrie resident and two men from Calgary, aged 25 and 26.
