Water main break closed roads, causes floods, in Vancouver
A water main break is causing flooding and buckling concrete, forcing road closures in East Vancouver, police said.
Traffic is diverted due to flooding near the intersection of East King Edward Ave. and Knight St.
A water main break continues to cause delays in East Vancouver, after flooding and buckled concrete forced road closures, police said.
The area was first cordoned off after midnight Nov. 29, when water gushed from the main.
Traffic headed southbound on Knight St. from Kingsway St. to East King Edward Ave. is affected, as well as East 23 and East 24 Ave. at Knight St.
Crews are working to fix the problem and are diverting traffic around a big hole in the road, according to the Vancouver Police Department's Central Dispatch.
