Thavone Carlson charged in Abbotsford gas station homicide

A man from Abbotsford, B.C. has been arrested and charged with murder following a stabbing at a gas station last Thursday.

One man from Abbotsford, B.C. has been arrested and charged with murder following a stabbing at a gas station last Thursday.

Thavone Junior Carlson, 20, is facing one charge of second-degree murder, following the death of Trevor Johnson, 35, on Thursday night.

Police allege Carlson and Johnson met at at the Petro Canada on Townline Road and during the meeting a fight broke out and Johnson was stabbed. He was rushed to hospital but died of his injuries a short time later.

Clarifications

  • An earlier statement from police said Carlson was 30 years old. They later confirmed that he is actually 20 years of age.
