Abbotsford gas station stabbing leaves man dead

Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 34-year old man at a Petro Canada gas station in Abbotsford, B.C., on Thursday night

Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 34-year old man at a Petro Canada gas station in Abbotsford, B.C., on Thursday night

The man was dropped off at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital around 10 p.m. PT. Doctors spent two hours trying to save him, but he died around midnight. His identity has not yet been released.

Both the gas station, located at Maclure Road and Townline Road, and the hospital emergency room were secured for the police investigation.

"We have spoken to some witnesses and obviously we're looking for others as well," said Abbotsford Police Const. Ian MacDonald.

The investigation has now been take over by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.
