Surrey RCMP are investigating a targeted shooting that sent one man to hospital Tuesday evening.

The shooting happened around 11:10 p.m., near a home in the 7700 block of 155th Street. 

When officers arrived, they found an injured man who was later transported to hospital in stable condition.  

This incident marks the fourth shooting in Surrey in just four days.

A dark coloured SUV was seen driving quickly away from the area shortly after the incident. At around 2 a.m. police also towed away a white sedan that was taped off at the scene.

The residential area was closed several hours early Wednesday morning during the investigation, as officers conducted neighbourhood canvassing.
