RCMP said Thursday that a man believed to be one of three suspects associated with the shooting in Sooke was arrested during a vehicle stop Wednesday.
In a separate incident Wednesday, the vehicle believed to have been used in the shooting was seized in Langford.
Police efforts are focused on finding 25-year-old Joshua Lafleur, believed to be the gunman and considered armed and dangerous.
Lafleur is described as six feet tall, 190 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
He is wanted on several outstanding warrants unrelated to Tuesday's shooting.
