For one night only, a popular American television show is bringing some serious Hollywood glitz to the sleepy Richmond, B.C. fishing village of Steveston.

ABC's Once Upon A Time is celebrating its 100th episode with an invite-only cast and crew gala at a transformed Gulf of Georgia Cannery on Saturday night.

The show normally does the bulk of its filming in Steveston which fronts as the fictional town of Storybrooke, Maine.

Cannery representative Mimi Horita says it's been exciting for staff to see their workplace come alive the way it has.

"It's ... like a once in a lifetime event that's going to take place here," she said.

A long red carpet, photo wall and multiple tents have been erected to welcome some of the stars of the show.

"We have a little bit of a space where the limos are going to be pulling up and the cast are going to be walking up the red carpet," said Horita. "Some fans have been there since about 10 o'clock this morning already."

The red carpet appearances are expected to begin at around 7 p.m. PT.

There are no confirmations yet as to who will be attending the party other than Rebecca Mader who plays Zelena, the Wicked Witch of the West.

More than 300 guests are expected at the party with many of them flying in from Los Angeles for the gala. That doesn't include international entertainment media that is also expected to cover the event.

Once Upon A Time has spent the last several days filming in Steveston prior to its milestone party.

Horita says the production team left many of the signs that say Storybrooke up on storefronts on Moncton Street.

The fairytale drama's cast of characters features many familiar faces, including Snow White, Prince Charming, the Evil Queen, Rumpelstiltskin and Frozen's Elsa, all transported to a "real town" and robbed of their memories of their fairytale pasts by an evil curse.
