The former residential lot features a garden, playground, and benches, along with a unique public bike repair station — handy for cyclists using the adjacent Yukon bikeway.

A public information session will be held at the yet-to-be named park Wednesday, Oct. from 8 a.m. PT to 11:30 a.m PT.

The winning name will be chosen by the Vancouver Park Board as part of the Name Your Park initiative.

Currently, 22 of the city's 230 parks are nameless.

Dude Chilling Park gained international attention when local artist Viktor Briestensky created and installed a mock sign in 2012. The official name of Dude Chilling remains Guelph Park, but no one calls it that anymore. (@DudeChillingVan)
