The votes are in and On the Coast listeners have spoken —  Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World is the song that will unite us all.

The 1967 classic garnered nearly 50 per cent of the vote, beating the other nominees by a wide margin.

"We started this contest because so many people were angry about our song selection," said On the Coast's Lisa Christiansen.

"But when it comes down to it, it's good to know our audience chose a song that was so positive."
