Happy holidays! CBC Books asked authors to share their favourite Canadian books of 2017. We will be publishing these recommendations throughout December.

2017 Scotiabank Giller Prize winner Michael Redhill chose A Reckoning by Linda Spalding.

Michael Redhill is an author based in Toronto. His novel Bellevue Square won the Scotiabank Giller Prize in 2017
