Jesse Eisenberg on his new movie The Art of Self-Defense, a 'satire without snark'

Jesse Eisenberg has taken on a range of roles in his career, from being one of the last humans alive in Zombieland to playing Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network. Now, he's found something most artists only dream of: the perfect gig.

In his latest film The Art of Self-Defense, Eisenberg plays Casey, an anxious, mild-mannered loner who takes up karate after being mugged one day. The film takes a satirical look at masculinity, but the fact that it's a comedy "without mocking or snark" is what Eisenberg says he loved most about the role. He joined q's Tom Power to tell us more about the film and why it immediately grabbed his attention.

The Art of Self-Defense hits theatres everywhere on Friday, July 19.
