Tow truck driver charged in December crash that killed pedestrian in northwest Toronto
Incident happened on Dec. 16 near Weston Road and Rogers Road

Police have arrested a 24-year-old man after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a tow truck in northwest Toronto in December.
Officers were called to the area near Weston Road and Rogers Road on Dec. 16 around 6:50 p.m. after reports of a personal injury collision, Toronto police said in a news release Thursday.
The accused was driving a Chevrolet Silverado tow truck northbound on Weston Road when he struck a male pedestrian who was waiting to cross.
The pedestrian then hit a Rav 4 that was travelling south on Weston Road. He was taken to hospital where he later died.
Police have said the victim was 40 years old.
The accused, who is from Toronto, was charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death on Thursday, police said.
He is scheduled to appear in court on March 31.
