Toronto police have arrested and charged four teenage boys they believe are behind a carjacking and two robberies this month.

The first robbery happened just before 5 a.m. on Jan. 7 at a store in the area of Finch Avenue West and Highway 27 in Etobicoke.

Two male suspects entered the store wearing masks, forced their way behind the counter and assaulted an employee before fleeing the scene with cash and merchandise in a stolen vehicle, police said in a news release.

Then on Monday evening, police were called about a carjacking just after 8 p.m. near Kipling Avenue and Rexdale Boulevard.

Police say four suspects travelling in a stolen Toyota Rav 4 rammed into the victim's vehicle, then pulled the victim out and demanded the keys while holding the victim at gunpoint. The suspects then allegedly fled in the victim's vehicle with the stolen Rav 4 in tandem.

The suspects were arrested later that night after attempting to rob a store in the area of Steeles Avenue West and Weston Road in Vaughan at around 10 p.m., according to police.

Police located all four suspects inside the store.

Two 16-year-old boys and two 15-year-old boys have been charged with robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent, and theft of a motor vehicle, among other charges.
